FEUDAL BARONS

Feudal Baronies in England have been absorbed into the Peerage, though in Scotland it is still possible to buy this title

Scotland's Feudal Barons have been recognised for 1000 years and played an important part in the nation's story, including the historic Declaration of Independence.   They have been recognised by the Crown as land-holding titles until recently by feudal reform in Scotland which has separated the title from the ownership of land.
