ELLIS ISLAND

Ellis Island is situated in the New York Harbour and is home to the Statue of Liberty and the Ellis Island Immigration Museum. The Ellis Island Immigration Museum was once the home of immigration inspection and between 1892 and 1954 welcomed more than 12 million immigrants to the new world of America. Today over 100 million Americans can trace their family history back to an ancestor who passed through the gates of Ellis Island. Search the immigration records here. Visit the Ellis Island Museum.
