SCOTLAND - GLAMIS CASTLE

Glamis Castle is often described as a fairy tale castle due to its many turrets and romantic setting. It has been home to the Strathmore and Kinghorne family since 1372 when Robert II granted the lands to John Lyon for his services to the King of Scots. Glamis is also the family home of the late Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother and birthplace of the late Princess Margaret born at Glamis in 1930.

Glamis Castle is open to the public and attractions include the family exhibition, magnificent rooms and an Italian garden.
