ENGLAND - DALEMAIN

Dalemain is situated in the Lake District near Ullswater and a settlement has existed on the site since Saxon times. A Pele tower was built here in the 12th century however the structure that can be seen today is an 18th century addition of an impressive georgian fascade. In 1680 the house was purchased by Sir Edward Hasell and his family have lived at Dalemain ever since.
