William Bortrick
William is a specialist in the genealogy of royal, aristocratic
and historical families. He was educated at the University of Oxford, and the University of Cambridge. He is a Director and Trustee of the Society of Genealogists (the youngest one to be appointed since the foundation of that society); and a Member of the Council of the University of Cambridge.
William began his interest in genealogy as a five-year-old boy while listening to the anecdotes and reminiscences of his father. He has developed that interest in the ensuing quarter of a century to become an authority on genealogy and family history. He is an expert in the genealogy of the Royal Families of the World, Prime Ministers of the United Kingdom, and Presidents of the United States of America.
William is a descendant of one of the oldest families in the British Isles, who for centuries have had a special interest in their genealogy. As a scion of that family it is little wonder that he has become a distinguished genealogist in his own right. He has travelled extensively, and his other pursuits include architecture, music, gardening, exploring coastlines and countryside, and riding.
